Erik Simon (he/him) is the Trans Health Coordinator at Clinical Practice Resources, and serves as the Chair of the newly-formed Trans Health Committee at the International GTA/MUTA Association (IGMA). He has worked in the field of live patient simulation as a GTA since 2018. His experience in the field of trans health care has led him to focus his work on bringing awareness of marginalized persons into the GTA training experience. Erik has presented workshops, lectures and symposiums at a number of prestigious Universities in the Northeast. Erik graduated with a BA & MA in Media Studies from The New School, completing his thesis on improving substance & sex education for teen health programs. He served as co-owner/founder of BellaVita Wellness in NYC from 2012-2015, and runs his own touch therapy practice with a focus in supporting LGBTQ+ clients with reiki, cuddle therapy, and meditation.
