The International GTA MUTA Association (IGMA) will host our 2nd annual conference, Global Trends in GTA MUTA Education: Past, Present and Future, on a virtual platform December 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2021.
The 2021 abstract submission portal is now open. Anyone in the field of GTA MUTA methodology, or related areas of interest, can now submit an abstract for review. Individual GTAs, MUTAs or FTAs, program directors, and GTA/MUTA trainers with an interest in presenting at IGMA’s 2021 virtual conference are encouraged to submit an abstract for review. All submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Current deadline for submissions is June 15th, 2021. To access the portal, click HERE. The portal is streamlined to ensure ease of submission, and conference committee members are available to assist as questions arise. Simply email admin@gtamuta.org and put “Abstract Submission” in the subject line.
Registration for this year’s conference will be announced shortly. As a benefit to our members, conference attendance is half price for IGMA members. (click HERE to enroll). There are a number of excellent benefits to membership, not the least of which is a forum for networking and bi-monthly Roundtables and Webinars. In addition, you will be a part of the fastest-growing simulation organization, and the only professional organization dedicated solely to GTA MUTA methodology.
IGMA is proud to once again be partnering with Crisis Services of North Alabama in order to provide continuing education (CE) hours to conference attendees. We are grateful to Liana Hill and Crisis Services of North Alabama for their continued support of our efforts.
In addition to abstract submissions, IGMA is seeking support and sponsorship from value-aligned organizations and individuals. If you are interested in partnering with us, please contact IGMA President, Isle Polonko at ipolonko@clinicalpracticeresources.com. She can also be reached at admin@gtamuta.org (please put “att: Isle Polonko” in the subject line).
Global Trends in GTA MUTA Education: Past, Present and Future is IGMA’s second annual conference, following the success of last year’s Voices of Success: Global Partnerships Creating Excellence in Health Care Through GTA/MUTA Education. As piloted last year, the 2021 conference will be conducted virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Due to popular demand, an extra day has been added to this year’s event.
In 2020, IGMA was proud to showcase seven presentations from across the United States and internationally, featuring 21 esteemed presenters: collectively representing four different countries, each has contributed tremendous investments of time, effort, and expertise towards the improvement of patient care through excellence in GTA MUTA methodology. Each presentation touched on a component of GTA MUTA methodology – individually and assembled, they are a testament to IGMA’s rigorous standards of quality and scholarship.
