Lee Ann Miller, EdD, CHSE-A (she/her) is the Assistant Director for Education and Evaluation at STEPS of WVU Health Sciences. She also coordinates the Standardized Patient (SP) program. She is an Advanced Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator and has background in Educational Psychology. Her role at STEPS is to help ensure quality simulation education and prepare educators on the nature of simulation. The SP program enhances the education of health professionals by providing authentic communication and examination technique practice via simulated patients. The program also recruits and trains individuals for teaching the Gynecological and Male Urological exams. Lee Ann is a member of the Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE), the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSIH) and active member of the Educational Content Advisory Team, a former participant of the Mountaineer Leadership Academy, and a graduate of Teaching Scholars Program.
